11.  Last and one of the most exciting.....Hazel started pre-school!!  We are having so much fun with this.  Hazel is learning so much and we get to work on homework together.

This year has been a very fun year with sweet Hazel!!  I cherish every memory with her!!!!  My Hazel time is my Hazel time and the joy cannot be replaced!!!

This year has also been a very growing year for me.  I have had some interesting life experiences the past 2 1/2 years and have had to have some very humbling moments this year.  I just want to end this post, and looking to the future, share how grateful I am for the Atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ and for His Resurrection.  I know that through Him we can all be forgiven and become the best that we can be.  It is a hard and long journey, but it is worth it.  I know by allowing His Gospel to lead and guide me, I will find true happiness and be the best mom I can be for Hazel.  I had that growing up and she deserves it too!

My wonderful Uncle passed away this past weekend.  Below is his obituary.  I just wanted to share what a wonderful man he is.  My Uncle LOVES his family, all of us, especially his wife and children.  There is not a thing in this world he would not do for each of us.  He is the back bone of the competitive spirit in the Bliss family and he is a sport finatic!!!  Especially for the Cougars.  They even put Cougar stickers on his coffin!!!

Yesterday's funeral services were so beautiful.  So much of the family was able to be there and I think my Uncle loved seeing the family all together again.  As I looked around at my adoreable grandparents and their 4 other boys that are still living, I truly felt the joy, love and gratitute for the family I was blessed in.  My family has always been extremely close.  We used to do everything together.  There is so much spirit and uniquness in our Bliss family.  Every family is so special.  Over the years we have seen less of each other, but the joy has not changed.  There was the most beautiful spirit at the funeral that is difficult to put into words.  My cousins, his children, all contributed so beautifully and when his daughter, the baby of the family, Cindy, sang "Carry on My Wayward Son," (one of my Uncle's favorites), it was so incredibly beautiful.

I've always loved my Uncle, but gathering to spend a day focused on his memory, made me love him and miss him even more.  I am so grateful that we will all be together again someday thanks to the Atoning Sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection.

Brent Norman Bliss

March 29, 1952

September 1, 2012

Brent Norman Bliss, 60, returned to his Heavenly Father on September 1, 2012 in Springville, Utah. Brent was born on March 29, 1952 in Fontana, California to Blaine and Patricia Bliss. Brent married Cynthia Fiet on June 5, 1971 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Brent was passionate about his family, sports, and working with troubled youth. There are not many fathers who spent more time with their children than he. He coached almost all of his children's athletic teams, starting at the age of 4. He took the time to do scrapbooks of all of his kids athletic, educational, and religious achievements. He was very proud and protective of his children. He became quite the movie buff. He liked to take his family with him. He taught his 5 children to be honest, strong, athletic, competitive, and to do their best in everything that they did. He loved to have a beautiful yard. He worked on it constantly. His rose garden was his favorite part of the yard. Every year the backyard grass got a little bit smaller and his garden a little bit bigger. He had over 100 rose bushes when he was finished. He supervised at Heritage Schools for many years. He loved working with the youth and they loved him. He would bring special teens home to visit with his family. He enjoyed his many co-workers and called them friends. He was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes in his early twenties. Diabetes caused many different health problems for him for forty years. His brother Jeffery donated a kidney and gave him 10 extra years. In those ten extra years he was able to watch his youngest daughter graduate high school. He got to see all of his children get married, and got to see his grandchildren be born and grow. His children can't thank their uncle enough for the gift of time. In January 2012 the diabetes took his last bit of independence by taking his ability to walk. He struggled with pneumonia several times over the last three months. He was in and out of the hospital. Pneumonia and complications from diabetes took him from us. He was the toughest person we knew. His passing was peaceful and he was surrounded by his wife, children, parents and siblings when he passed. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children, William Bliss, Angela (Shawn) Hansen, Brian (Elisha) Bliss, Alisa Bliss, and Cindi (Ryan) Larson; grandchildren, Skylee Hansen, Zachary Bliss, Bryson Bliss, Tayzia Hansen, Haylee Hansen, and Brendan Bliss; father, Blaine Bliss; mother, Patricia Bliss; brothers, Craig (Janet) Bliss, Michael (Dawn) Bliss, Steven (Barbara) Bliss, and Jeffery (Renae) Bliss; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, Utah. On Thursday, September 6, 2012 a viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. at the Mona 3rd Ward, 100 West 800 South, Mona, Utah.

Cruise 2011

I can't believe I never posted pics from our cruise in February 2011. My Grandma Reeves approached me one day and randomly asked if I would like to go with her on a cruise to Hawaii? I told her I would have to think about it.........ya right.....of course I said yes immediately. We didn't end up doing Hawaii, but my Grandma took my mom, Hazel and me on a Caribbean Cruise. It was AMAZING!!!! Hazel had so much fun and collected a lot of sea shells from the different islands we visited. We saw Grand Turk, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and more.....they are on the tip of my tongue right now. Here are a few pics.....most are on facebook or in the scrapbook my mom put together.

 View from the plane.
Part of our alligator adventures in Florida....this is my brave mom!!

This gator is one we saw out in the wild....not caged up.

Hazel getting already for dinner.  We ate in the formal dining room every night and Hazel was able to learn some great manners.  She did so great and all of the waitors adored her.

Pulling in to St. Thomas, a place of pirates and Captain Jack Sparrow....and the best Rrrrrrruuuummmm around......if that's your think....(I didn't sample any, though it was still fun to see).

Check out this huge Iguana!!!!   Maybe not so large to the natives of Puerto Rico, but new to a Utahn.
My beautiful mom after our shopping adventure in Puerto Rico.

Our "Dam" ship!!!  (all Holland America ships have "Dam" in them)

This pic was taken at the beginning of our adventure as we departed from Ft. Lauderdale.

This pic is before we left Florida for the cruise and after a long day of flying.

More views from the plane as the sun rose and we were above the clouds.
